Quick warmups for futsal
Personally I think the more the kid is moving with a ball the better.
My preference is when a player is chasing them. Think keep away.
Take the entire half of the field to play keep away with one or two defenders. This should only last a few minutes and more aggressive players might come out swinging so make sure no one is fouled or get hurts. Use this time to find out who wants to play keeper during the game. Have multiples around 3-4 players.
Another warmup would be rollies. Have players team up and stand about 3ft apart. Make them do a consecutive 10 passes back and forth with the bottom of the foot (sole of shoe). You can put different spins on this. Example, having them take a step back after every touch. 2 or more touches they start over.
Want the goalie to be good with his feet, so have them participate in these drills.
Lastly have them take shots. Have a player in the middle of the top of the penalty box as a pivot position player. The shooters will take turn being pivot every 4 to 5 shots. Players from the side area will pass ball to pivot player that is checking and using hand signals to gently roll the ball back to the shooter for a shot.
Things to consider in Futsal. Professional players are placed on the field per dominant foot. Example, a left footed Ala would be on the right side of the field. When shooting in the drill above try to have the left footed player play to the pivot but the pivot position moving alot and checking without the ball. Pivot switching sides between shooters (and checking). Shooting with the toe is common in Futsal but placing the ball with inside of the foot is more accurate. Goalies should be catching the ball as much as possible and immediately rolling (no bounce) it back to the shooter on the side to get back in line. Rotate goalies to take shots on goal and quickly distribute the ball back to shooter.
